Abstract:
The $\kappa$-factor function is a generalization of the irrational factor function introduced by Atanassov. We investigate the behavior of the sum of the $\kappa$-factor function over arithmetic progressions and study its bias over reduced residue classes. We also study this phenomenon for $\kappa$-factor functions defined over number fields and function fields.
